IT Support Engineer

PFH Technology Group is seeking an IT Support Engineer to be based onsite with their client in Dublin. The IT On Site Support will through a proactive approach provide internal customers with technical IT support in order to enable employees to operate more effectively and efficiently

Part time role - 3 full days or 5 half days

Duties Include:

• Provide technical support to internal customers in a professional and friendly manner.
• Performs hands-on technical support at the desktop level, including building/deploying new workstations, installing and upgrading hardware and software, the configuring systems and applications.
• Ensure that written responses are accurate, professional, clear and concise.
• Updating helpdesk documentation so that support information is available and current for each customer
• Testing and fixing faulty equipment
• PC builds and installations
• Execute any activities assigned
• Ensure detailed documentation is produced and maintained up to date at all times.
• Maintain asset inventory up to date at all times.

• Ensure that regular daily responsibilities are completed on time
• Ensure confidentiality of the information provided by customer (i.e. user name, password, others)
• Ensure positive relationships are built and maintained with all involved parties (business, team, suppliers).

Skills Required:

• Previous experience in an IT Environment
• Knowledge of Microsoft and Windows
• Excellent customer service skills with an ability to empathise with users and help them adapt to their new technologies. User experience is key.
• Demonstrate good problem solving, analytical and decision making skills
